Got back from the honeymoon - my skin lobsterliciously red from sunburn. Probably drove around 2.000 km on the bike. Uploaded over half of the photos to Flickr - just added the sweet rafting shots today. Nina went back to St. Petersburg three days ago to pack up her stuff and file the papers for family reunification. I hope we will see each other in less than 4-6 weeks or so.
Oh yeah, and I sadly didn’t see the new Indy movie yet! Someone please take me to the movies!

Just a quick update!
We took the Autozug from Hamburg to Munich, and arrived yesterday morning. Staying for two days in Munich and going to Innsbruck in the morning. Visited Augsburg today. Spirits are high. Weather is good. Looking forward to driving the motorcycle in the Alps. Curious people can check my Flickr Honeymoon Set for photos.

No, we’re not dead yet. Lots of things are happening these days, as we get closer and closer to the wedding. It’s less than a week now, and there are still a few missing pieces of the puzzle but we’re getting there.
The first draft of our motorcycle honeymoon road trip route was also put together yesterday. At first sight it looks awesome although possibly a little overwhelming. So far it’s around 4.500 km in total, so the bike is queued up for a change of tires before departure.

It’s one hell of a trip, but I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be awesome. I can feel it in my toes.

For our honeymoon, we’re going on a bike trip through Europe. We still need to plan the route, but this weekend we finished up the last things on the motorcycle. Now it has a fancy new touring windshield and room for our two Givi side cases.

I guess we’re ready to go!

As the eager reader might already have observed, there is plenty for us to worry about these days. On a much brighter note though, we’ve been shopping for the honeymoon - and other future trips. Yes, we’ve purchased matching luggage.
No, it’s not big matching suitcases with our initials monogrammed on the side - it’s a couple of much needed hard-case motorcycle luggage cases. They will be mounted on the side of the motorcycle, so the passenger doesn’t have to carry all our things in a backpack. She wasn’t too excited about that on our last trip and I completely understand that. There are also security considerations - in the unfortunate event of an accident, wearing a backpack on a motorcycle isn’t such a great idea.

Isn’t it pretty?
We still need a part to fit these on the bike, but we’re almost there. Then we just need a full set of motorcycle gear for Nina and a much needed pair of motorcycle pants for me. Once the technical preparations are done, we just have to figure out one thing - where exactly should we go?
